I never even heard Mich. mentioned till this drops. Boy will I be happy when this guy runs out of eligibility.
Almost certainly, because until recently only 1 transfer was allowed.
Also apparently if he wins the title this year, he would be the first college wrestler to win a 2nd title at a lighter weight than his 1st.
Of course, the important thing is that Nick gets a quality college education!
Most of the "media" have him in at 125, Ragusin at 133, Micic at 141. I think that's the strongest lineup choice for team points. I agree w/ Willie and others though who think they really are still competing w/ Stillwater for 3rd. They're certainly within reach of the top of the podium now--but many of their "studs" would have to at least make the finals, I think. Or Lewan and Cam Amine do really well.

What is Michigan’s recent history in terms of performing to expectations in March? Not buying it’ll be a three team race without a run of injuries for one of the top two.
There's no reason to believe he's going 133.
Aside from Willie and every industry insider saying 125 ... the only reason to return at all is to be the legend killer.
Otherwise what's to gain? He's been away from folk for 2 yrs and counting. The 2nd title doesn't get him any closer to the Olympics or make him more marketable for MMA. Neither does beating RBY. He's already beaten Fix. Lee is the target.

I have to say, I am glad he didn't end up at PSU again. He tried it and for whatever reason it didn't work for his "team." Best of luck at Mchigan. Hopefully PSU has a guy for 125 that will score points come March.
On a serious side, I always felt a little ripped off I didn't get to see more Suriano/Lee matchups. I hope it works out.
On a less than serious side, PSU wrestles at Michigan Jan. 21, Rutgers at Michigan on Jan. 23. If we moved that to Jan. 22 and made it a tri-meet we could call it the Suriano Duals. Similar to a white-out, fans could be encouraged to not wear shirts.

What if Lee doesn’t go this year? He hasn’t hit the mat yet for Iowa and we know his knees were shot after last year. Does Suriano have another year of eligibility after this? Do you think he could hold 25 for 2 years?
