Kudos to Barry for remaining a gentleman and never pointing out that it really wasn't much of a rivalry

Osborne and Switzer were friends. In fact, truth be told, the changes Osborne made after losing to Switzer paved the way to the three national championships of the ‘90s. More option, in particular. Osborne also learned from the Florida teams that speed on defense is critical. What that taught me as a young high school coach is that you never stop learning, never fear making changes to your system and keep trying to do things right.

The OU-Nebraska rivalry was a great and storied rivalry. It was a top three rivalry for sure.
Some of CFB's greatest games came from that rivalry.
Switzer and Osborne know it, as do those who know the history of CFB.
