During his sophomore campaign for John A. Logan College, the 6-foot-8, 260-pound big man averaged 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 69.4 percent from the field. He helped lead John A. Logan to an 18-5 record in 2020-21, and was named the Great Rivers Athletic Conference Player of the Year as well as a Third Team 2021 NJCAA All-American.
Sounds like a pretty solid get, and definitely a boost to our front court depth. At 6-8 and 260 lbs he'll add some needed bulk/size to the bigs.
This will solidify Withers getting more time at the 4 and then watch out!
This latest development attracting Curry to the roster is just another example of how effective Mack has been over these last several months. The aggressive changes he instituted with his staff took a lot of courage and speaks volumes to his commitment to making UL basketball relevant again. Witnessing the success the International teams are demonstrating, hiring McMains may very well turn out to be a stroke of genius. Signing transfers capable of executing that particular style is most impressive given the “so called cloud” hanging over UL.
It can't hurt! A body that has potential. We have some good bigs, at worst he's 5 fouls, at best he can be a contributor.
