I realize that this guy goes into the other lane at the end of this but had he stayed straight and finished first would he have won? As far as my hurdling rules knowledge goes, you don't get dq'ed for knocking one down. Why can't you knock them all down?

You can knock them all down and not get DQ’d. But if you knock em down the way Demolition Man did in that video...you ain’t winning jack. Would slow you down way too much.
Also, if there isn’t at least one transgender participant in the race then everyone is DQ’d in that particular race.
