It wasn't defense that cost us the game, it was horrendous rebounding. We were out-rebounded by 20. Pitt had 19 offensive rebounds to the 'Cats 4, and 3 of our offensive rebounds were by Young. Gaines had the other one. None of our other "bigs" had any. This is inexcusable, and has to be laid at the feet of the coaches. Rebounding is a learned fundamental skill in basketball and Young is the only guy who knows how to do it. Yes, we could have and should have won the game at the end, but we never should have been that close to begin with. Nance is not a 5.
