Good writeup. Purdue is just a handful.

I’m extremely encouraged by Roper’s emergence. He’s a strong enough defender and has shown enough on offense (3 from the corner, putback slam) that if Audige continues to be hobbled by nagging injuries, he can sort of slot in and take more of his minutes without too much of a dropoff.

The optimist in me says our depth — and tests against the Big Ten’s best — will pay dividends later this season for a push toward a .500 conference record.

NU will have to go 8-4 the rest of the way to finish .500 in conference. They will have to go 6-6 just to guarantee a .500 overall record.

If NU wins 4 games, I will be amazed.

6-6 down the stretch doesn't seem out of reach, but that probably means coming close to sweeping the games against Minnesota, PSU, and Nebraska. I know Cats fans are all looking forward to playing games against those teams, but unfortunately those teams are likewise probably looking at those games as ones where they'll get some happiness in the rough and tumble B1G.
