4 chances to seal the game in the final minute:

1. Get a stop after the Roper banked 3. Instead, foul Mulcahy and he makes both.

2. Score a basket with a 62-60 lead. Instead, run a discombobulated set with Chase missing a really tough shot.

3. Stop Rutgers. Instead, their hottest player gets wide open and hits the 3.

4. Score in your last possession with 15 seconds to go. Instead, turn it over with 6 seconds left, not even giving yourself a chance, game over.

A painful loss, made even more painful by replaying that last minute in your head.

Hopefully this isn't NU's "luck percentage" returning back to the gutter as in previous seasons. CCC really is terrible in late game situations. We actually got a huge lucky break with Roper banking in the desperation three but still couldn't execute to hold on with a 4 point lead at home with one minute to play!

No. 3 was the worst, in my opinion. NU’s identity is defense, and with the game on the line, they let the one guy that’s been killing then all night get a wide-open look at a 3. Just inexcusable.

Great video. Had Matt defended better or Roper stayed in the mid of the paint and the 3 does not happen. Buie has to stay on the ball, Beran has to stay in the passing lane, Audige gets screwed.

Great play but regardless of how we defend screens, two significant mistakes are made.

First game in a long time I wanted us to win since the Pardon years.

I took the loss hard.
