Tarped off seats behind both goalposts. Did this game not sell out? I know Ohio St returned 7,000 tickets.

I don't know when or why the decision was made to tarp those seats but sitting there sucks. The first row is pretty much ground level so your depth perception of the play on the field is horrible. And it's a pretty flat slope as the first few rows of seats go back so the depth perception isn't much better plus and it's harder to see around the people if front of you. The tarps cover crappy seats but also offer a good branding opportunity. I'm surprised they didn't use more of it for ad space.

There is a growing segment of 'Americans' who believe football, especially college football is a sport for Neanderthals. I believe 20 years from now football will either be outlawed or dramatically different. You may think my opinion is over the top and it may be. But watch a video of college game from 20 to 30 years ago.

25 years ago puts us at 1997, the year I graduated from PSU. I don't see much of a difference in the game besides trying to protect the offensive players more and poor defensive play because of limited practice time per NCAA rules. NFL is the same with practice time.

Changes will occur exponentially. But here's a question for you. Did you ever see any empty seats at Penn State home games 25 years ago?

You're learning. Do you remember when the Gaff had $1.50 Molson bottles on Wednesday nights then Labatts for $1.50 on Thursdays? Friday night $2.00 pitchers at the Lions Den? Me neither. 😏

You had kids early then. How are your financials?

Kids early? I'm 47 and have a 17 and 15 year old. Do you have trouble with math along with reading?
I consider 30 early. But I still think you are lying based on how you went back and reacted to my posts from October a couple of days ago. So how are your finances? Not good I take it. I belong to two country clubs, drive a new Mercedes and wear a $53k yellow gold day date Rolex.

Finances excellent. How old are your kids? What year did you graduate from PSU?

I don’t share information that could potentially be identifiable on the internet for obvious reasons. Look how that worked out for Big Red?

Loser. I belong to three country clubs. I own a new Rolls and a new Lambo. I don't wear a watch because I have a full time personal assistant who can tell me what time it is. I own a house in Beverly Hills. I own a penthouse suite on Fifth Ave. across from Central Park. I have a little place in Cabo I use a couple weeks a year just to get away from it all.

Couldn't find his way to the Creamery if he was standing at the foot of Sheilds without mommy.

The dummy says he doesn't want to share any personally identifiable information (like the year he graduated) but will tell you he belongs to 2 country clubs, drives a new Mercedes, and wears a $53K Rolex. JoeBot is not the brightest bulb.

Beaver Stadium accommodated about 15k less fans in 1997 (not to mention the difference in ticket, parking, and concession costs).

That's a great point. I was going to mention ticket prices, 24/7 internet coverage and all encompassing TV coverage.

and, for some games, with poor opponents, they did have empty seats, especially in the student section.
