I liked watching Ron Ely as the "smart" Tarzan on Sat. morning's in the 70's.
Mike Henry as Tarzan was another favorite.
I know Weissmuller is considered the best but I think I'd go Gordon Scott.

I would watch the Ron Ely version of Tarzan in syndication in the mid 70s as a kid. Could not think of a Jane, and it was with good reason. There wasn't one.

Started going down the rabbit hole on Ron Ely. I remember him most from a Name that Tune ripoff hosting a show called "Face the Music" outside of that I couldn't have told you much. Turns out in 2019 his 30 year old son stabbed his mother (Ely's wife) to death and was then shot and killed by police. Talk about some wacky stuff, Ely was in the house while all this was going on.
