I always liked Taylor King and his game. The problem was he played the same position as Singler, who was kind of the golden boy from day one.

I think both Greg Paulus and Josh McRoberts would be good interviews. I think both have been judged a little harsh by this board especially when they were here. I remember how excited we were when they committed and how quickly we turned on them when they didn't live up to our expectations. We seem to do that a lot. I love this board and posting here but if there is one thing if I could it would be better support. I'm not above it either. Taylor King was a constant target of mine as was Greg Newton. Actually Newton could be productivecstatic times.n When I was younger during the lean years I picked out my target every year. Now as an old fart I realize they are just kids and try to envision what I was like at 17 to 20 years old. OFC

They've definitely taken their share of criticism. Part of that is probably both not living up the hype others set on them. Another thing is that both had the kind of personalities that didn't make them the most likable guys to their own teammates. Greg's aura turned a lot of people off....including potential recruits at the time. It should also be pointed out that time heals many wounds. Greg wasn't popular when he left Duke, but that seems to have subsided some the last few years. He's been back in recent summers....whereas you didn't see him on campus those first handful of years after he left.
