Thanks for the props. We deserve a season like this in Ames after all the suck we have been provided. Btw Campbell has a 9.4 million dollar buyout. That might earn us another year with him.

I hope ISU shells out the $ to keep him around long term. Its not only good for ISU but also the B12 overall. Very impressed with ISU this year.

Iowa State beat OU and TCU, both of which were highly overrated when they won. True Iowa State is better than they have been in a very long time but when you look at the Big 12 as a whole I think there are some very avg teams in the upper part of the Conference and pretty much anyone can beat anyone. I honestly don't think any team in the Big 12 has a prayer of making the Playoffs.

We will know come Tuesday what the thinking of the committee is. If I was guessing I would think their top 10 will likely look something like this.

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Wisconsin ( only because they are undefeated)
4. Notre Dame ( like them or not which I don't , they have earned this )
5. Clemson
6. Ohio State
7. Miami
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma
10. Washington / TCU/ Oklahoma State ( I expect one of the three will occupy that slot. )

Right or wrong in regard to TOSU and OU I think the committee will go this way. In the end though I agree that the B12 is likely screwed along with the PAC.

I agree with all that. tOSU redeemed itself losing to OU by beating Penn St. And should be ranked higher. OU pretty much traded a quality road win at tOSU for a humiliating loss at home to ahem, Iowa State. And I don't care what anyone says, oh Iowa State is not the old Iowa State blah blah blah they beat number 4 TCU today. TCU was not the 4th best team in the Country just as OU proved not to be the 3rd best team in the Country. When the committee looks at OU they see an Iowa State loss, might has well been a loss to Tulane or UTEP or Norman High. I still think OU loses 1 or 2 more games. Our defense is probably as bad or worse than I have seen in a very very long time.

Agree.
Whatever spin or analysis there is about Mike Stoops, a four-man front, etc., this is a defensive style/philosophy that has been a proven historical failure for too many years.
The defensive players tackle like women. Assignments are blown. Personal fouls committed. Too much taunting.
And what's with the Miami Hurricane type of pregame confrontations and post game taunts ? I want to see football, not prison yard scuffles. Leave that crap to the NFL along with its childish all-about-me celebrations and taunts. I know coaches can't...or won't...control their players off the field, but why not ON the field ?

I hope we get another shot at you guys, would be a very interesting CCG.

Hmmm.... I think that's what we need to hope for. Run the table (no sure thing, but just saying this would be the best case scenario), and then avenge our only loss in the CCG against a Cyclone team ranked near the top ten.

That would probably punch us a ticket to the CFP.

I thought his salary is only $1.5m. If so, that’s a really big buyout.
