TCU looked like...

Yup I was telling another sooners fan that if we don’t destroy TCU I’ll be upset. Tech doesn’t even have their better qb playing so they were running a slower methodical offense but still moved it on TCu. Don’t get me started on Robinson, geez. I thought he’d be really good but he’s a turnover machine. That Ohio state win looks lesser now.

They have major problems and Coach sweatabunch does not seem to have a grip on this team like in past years. Their annoying whistle probably is more to wake up the crowd than rile them up.

Any team can look unimpressive week to week. Some teams start the first half of the season looking lackluster, only to turn it on and peak the second half of the season. The only thing I care about with TCU, is how OU handles them. Outside of that, the rest of their games this year are just cannon fodder for discussion. Like @CTOkie said, Texas didn't look impressive at all until they showed up in the Cotton Bowl and made OU's defense look nonexistent.

Even over recent history, the Big 12 has always looked "pedestrian" with Oklahoma in the driver's seat....until the post season rolls around.
Whatever improvements or upgrades or changes OU puts forth defensively from here on, they probably won't be evident until 2019. But the rest of this season can be a time to develop younger players and incorporate a more aggressive mentality overall on defense.
This bye week could be significant for OU in many ways.
The Texas loss could....and hopefully will....be a wake up call for Riley and his program. It had better be.

Texas looked unimpressive against K-State the week before playing OU so I don’t give much credence to TCU’s shaky performance last night.
This Oklahoma team is a very poor defensive team and therefore it can lose any game on any day. No opponent is easy prey anymore.

I would agree with that... however they’ve looked bad offensively every game after that Ohio State loss. Robinson is a turnover machine.

The entire Big 12 looks very pedestrian this year. Even though WVU is still undefeated, I have a feeling they'll drop a game or two before it's all said and done. Doesn't look like a B12 representative will make the CFP at this rate.

Right now, I'd say the favorites to make the CFP are Bama, Clemson, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

I’m thinking they’ll drop Saturday at Ames. ;) Iowa State wins in a close one

2 things...I think the TCU QB is playing hurt. I think the back to back games vs TOSU & Texas took physical toll. They have extra time to prepare for us. I wouldn't count my chickens on this one.

He’s not playing hurt or they wouldn’t run with him so much. Gary Patterson wouldn’t do that. They’ve only scored 47 points in the last 3 games and they have weapons at their disposal.

You are delusional if you think a coach wouldn't risk playing a player with an injury that wasn't totally debilitating. Ask Jason White if he was 100% vs LSU. Ask Heupel if he was 100% vs FSU. It was obvious that the throwing skills of the kid were hampered.

I specifically said Gary Patterson because he has a backup if Robinson isn’t 100%. Remember when we barely beat TCU in Norman with their backup because their starter was hurt?! Gary doesn’t play hurt players and he definitely wouldn’t call designed qb runs with hurt qbs. I think y’all are giving Robinson more credit than needed he’s not good. They aren’t good. They have Reagor (sp?) Turpin, that running back. They’re just not a good offensive team and on defense they can’t stop the run. Just stop it guys. There will be no excuses next week. We need to blow TCu out of the water.

Why do you think they lost to tosu to begin with.

I really don't wish for OU's defense to face a back up QB. They have a way of making back ups look like All Americans.
