About 20 years ago, Tulsa Football was known for quality tight end play. Garrett Mills was a TU senior in 2005 and set an NCAA single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end, making 87 receptions for 1,235 yards.

Recently, however, tight ends were rarely targeted under former Tulsa coaches Philip Montgomery and Kevin Wilson. First-year TU coach Tre Lamb has changed that.

In the preseason, Lamb told Inside Tulsa Sports that he was expecting big things from incoming tight end Brody Foley, a 6-foot-6 transfer from Indiana University. Through seven games this season, Foley has delivered.
