Some of these guys mean well, and some of them are straight up gambling on the game. But ALL of them make more mistakes than any other profession could get away with.

Can someone please hurry up and become a billionaire by replacing these guys?

Tennis has become so much more fun to watch since every close call is automatically shown on the jumbotron. Team sports will certainly be more difficult to automate but let's get it done nerds. Billions await!
Volleyball has benefited from something similar in the net cam. It needs a few adjustments but it is a great start.

It’s difficult. If you want a game with absolutely no contact, we could easily do it now with cameras and body sensors. If you want to allow some contact that gets tricky.

SEC is better than it has been in a long time. It is very difficult to officiate the fast physical play. However, the SEC needs to improve the officiating. The refs are struggling to call the obvious stuff. The game looks like judo at times.
It doesn’t help that so much money is riding on every game that it makes you wonder about the absolutely ridiculous calls or no calls.
