Says a lot about his character. MIami is his hometown, but he is looking at things 5 years from now and having the chance to play in a good system. Miami has been a .500 for the last however many years and I dont see that changing any time soon.

Must have been tough to turn down Miami, but he is better than Tannehill and would sit behind him regardless.

The Dolphins appear to be moving on from Tannehill. Heading to Miami would not have been an ideal situation. He's the heir apparent in New Orleans.

I thought TB had re-signed. He didn’t? I think he ought to. He’ll regret going to the Dolphins.

Wrong, If Teddy signs with the Saints, He will be a life time back-up off the bench. When Drew Brees retires, NO will get a young Mayfield or Mahomes. Teddy will then be known as the veteran QB back-up.

He signed with the Saints. A life time back up? The horror.

Teddy is getting $7 million guaranteed from the Saints to be a back up and was going to get half that much to be a starter in Miami where he would have gotten pummeled. That’s called a great business decision.

He needs to be careful, though. Chris Redman got priced out of a job due to league minima when he was still a perfectly viable QB. TB is getting good representation, I’m sure. However, waiting for Brees to retire might push him into his 30s, and the Saints will draft a hot young prospect and pass TB over as too expensive. Let’s hope things work out for Teddy.

If he doesn’t, at least he’ll be well off financially and with very little risk of a career ending or even life threatening injury.

teddy didn't sign with miami because they most likely will draft a qb and thus teddy will be in constant flux as he waits to get benched behind the new guy. plus, maybe he simply likes living in new orleans

btw, miami signed fitzpatrick which 100% tells you their qb next is not in their future plans. they would have dumped teddy for a new guy for sure. expectations are they are going to try to deal for josh rosen if arizona takes murray
