Must have been tough to turn down Miami, but he is better than Tannehill and would sit behind him regardless.

The Dolphins appear to be moving on from Tannehill. Heading to Miami would not have been an ideal situation. He's the heir apparent in New Orleans.
Wrong, If Teddy signs with the Saints, He will be a life time back-up off the bench. When Drew Brees retires, NO will get a young Mayfield or Mahomes. Teddy will then be known as the veteran QB back-up.
If he doesn’t, at least he’ll be well off financially and with very little risk of a career ending or even life threatening injury. He needs to be careful, though. Chris Redman got priced out of a job due to league minima when he was still a perfectly viable QB. TB is getting good representation, I’m sure. However, waiting for Brees to retire might push him into his 30s, and the Saints will draft a hot young prospect and pass TB over as too expensive. Let’s hope things work out for Teddy.
Teddy is getting $7 million guaranteed from the Saints to be a back up and was going to get half that much to be a starter in Miami where he would have gotten pummeled. That’s called a great business decision.
