It seems that every team I wanted to win this weekend has lost. Well, there is the Lady Cards I guess.

Game worked out almost perfectly from my POV... I have no use for the Vikes, esp. their HC who's a POS. I hope he loses his job for muffing the game. (...Said without having watched most of it.)

Obviously, I feel bad for Teddy. But he did his job on that last drive, put 'em in scoring position. Of course, Zimmer put on the brakes, ran out the clock instead of pressing for the TD, and his kicker missed a chip shot. None of that's on Teddy.

Beautiful to watch...

I thought that last run to the left was s mistake. Keep it centered. Then why take the time out... Take the delay for 5 yards, give some cushion for the angle.

Questionable decisions to end the game.

Zipp, your hatred for Zimmer is well noted. I too didn't like the shots he took at Bobby but obviously he meant what he said and who knows, maybe both of them have grown up since then. It was definitely not Bobby's finest moment.

I'll root for Teddy and BP, you know it's possible. (Teddy happy>Zimmer sad) but that's just me.

The reason I keep responding is that these Teddy/Viking threads are written in such a way that supporting Teddy (which we all do) means you support the Vikes. When posters stop posting with that assumption--"Teddy deserved better" and "damn shame"--I'll stop reiterating the point.

I'm the last guy to use as an NFL resource... But I heard a remark second hand the other day that Zimmer feels as strongly about Petrino as he ever has. Maybe someone who knows more definitively can comment. If the guy has backed off of his position, I can dial back the Zimmer/Viking hate...

zimmer didn't muff the game zipp. in fact, he produced a perfect game plan and the team executed it for 59:30. a broken play lead to the seahawks touchdown by way of wilson's greatness. no one's fault there. AD fumbled and cost them the game. it gave them the 10-9 lead. they worked the 2 minute drill perfectly. and on the last running play they weren't trying to center the ball to line up the field goal they were trying to get the first down and run the clock out before the final kick so seattle would have no time. they simply came up short and kicked the field goal. had they tried to score the touchdown via the pass and stopped the clock you give seattle way too much time left. honestly, zimmer coached a great game, he out coached the other team, made all the right calls, and simply a trusted running back who thinks he the greatest in the nfl failed at his job and a trusted kicker failed at his job. in fact if zipp, if you watched the game objectively you would be praising zimmer for the turnaround from a 38-7 beatcdown last time they played. you may even be calling it one of the better coaching jobs ever. simply two players failed at the wrong time. that's all that happened and you got to feel bad for the entire team as they beat a superior team who came in scoring over 30 a game over the last few. and zimmer doesn;t call the offensive plays btw, for those interested, norv turner does. zimmer is a defensive guy and leaves the plays to those who know. i thought turner called a great game and the #1 defense int he league lest any of you forget the minor point. the seattle has the best defense in the league.

Zipp has a grudge against Zimmer for making derogatory remarks against Bobby when Zimmer was defensive coach for Falcons.

I only posted this the OP because at the time it was Bridgewater vs. the Legion of Boom with the game in the line...to see if he can step up against the best the past 3 years....Teddy did what was required...now some are holding a grudge against the Vikings HC because he not a fan of Petrino...that a Petrino-Zimmer issue...myself I like Zimmer...feel he is a good NFL Coach...as long as Bobby wins I fine with him as well...he is a good College Coach.

Now with the game...Zimmer defensive gameplan was outstanding...help Russell Wilson to 10 points...and the above poster is correct...the Peterson fumble is what caused the Vikings defeat...along with Walsh....

Don't like pro sports, don't follow the NFL or the Vikes, and don't need a post mortem on the game or Zimmer. If he gets unfairly blamed for the loss, great. As long as Teddy doesn't.

Zimmer and the Vikes are finished, and that makes me happy. Teddy and his agent need to get him into warmer environs anyway. No place for an ex-Miami kid...

And for those U of L fans thinking the past is the past, this is a "Petrino-Zimmer issue", etc., from less than a year ago...

Mike Zimmer is Still Right about Bobby Petrino

WTF do any NFL fans legitimately have to say about Matt Colburn? And if you're one of their "influx of U of L fans", keep in mind that they'll take a forum like that to opine that your coach shouldn't be here. Note that Viking fans, as I have done, took up the issues of their current coach in a PRIOR job elsewhere. They and their coach inexplicably haven't gotten over a damn thing.

The "gutless MFers" are the ones who went down in grand style this afternoon, choking away a gimme. Couldn't have happened to a better franchise and fanbase, and I loved it.

And I'm returning the favor... Sure wish Teddy wasn't there.

With all due respect to BP, he DID walk out on Atlanta. Zimmer was right. I hope BP has grown since then. He appears to have been humbled and matured. I strongly questioned TJ when he re-hired BP. The jury is still out for me, but the early returns are good.

Call Zimmer and get it out of your system. Just a suggestion. Teddy forgives you because he's Teddy I guess.

That's what you've been told. Another version of events is that Petrino wasn't allowed to tell players he was leaving...did he in fact have a choice? And he took the job with the understanding that he would be coaching Michael Vick. Did the Falcons meet those terms?

Pass judgment if you have the facts. Not that that's stopping the Vikings...

I don't need to get to the bottom of anything. I'm fine as long as nobody brings any pro-Vikings garbage into this space. Then I'm not.

Love Teddy if you want, and please do. Take the Vikings love somewhere else...

Not at all. In fact, there's an equivalent to how most of us watch LPT games. I don't have to be knowledgeable about either (LPT or the Vikings) to dislike them...

Right now Teddy = Vikings. Glad they drafted him, got his chance and he's delivering. Why go somewhere else? This is the beginning of the Vikings truly being Teddy's team not AP's. And who couldn't ask for a better role model? He's a perfect fit now. I don't give a rat's azz what Zimmer thinks about CRP. I have Louisville buddies that feel the same way. I know Zimmer loves TB and that's all that matters.
