I wondered the same. Seems like they have regressed. Hope it was due to key players (jones, westry etc) being out for the deficiencies that occurred today and not a regression. The tackling seemed to be half hearted today and the overall spirit lacking. Seemed like the defense just wanted to get this one over and head back home.

Losing Jordan jones was a huge hit last night. He covers a lot of mistakes
Finally played an offense that could score. Amazing how bad the SEC east is on that side of the ball.

We had several defenders miss significant snaps, not just Jones.
When you lose your two starter CB's for some or most of the game, when you lose your best, (by far), LB, & then one of your best LB/DE's due to injury, - it's difficult at best to remain competitive!!! This is so especially true since we are so lacking in depth in the defensive front 7!!! What's the expression, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear"!!!!!!!
Same train wreck that beat #9 Auburn? UGA is a solid team that has just failed to put it together this year. They aren't going to stay down.
Our seats are on the 48 yard line, 26 rows up behind the visiting team bench so I got a chance to watch the UK sideline Saturday. There were a lot of injured wildcats by end of 3rd quarter, but noticed your DL coach trying to get the DL together and it was like none of them were paying attention to him, they finally moved slowly to gather round him and even then, their body language said they could care less what he was talking about. Even the UK fans who had bought tickets in our section were commenting on it.
It just showed that Jordan jones is our defense. But if Eliot is calling our defense again, then stoops deserves to be fired
Stoops has been heavily involved in this defense ever since he got to town. He conveniently makes a public statement about it when Vanderbilt is coming up.
So much for your positive vibe! How about UK Fans showing their appreciation on Senior Day by showing-up in the numbers in the UG Game! Again, lets show the recruits that will be in attendance, what UK Football is all about! Let's demonstrate that we appreciate the dedication our seniors have devoted to changing the direction of the FB Program!!!
Unfortunately we have very little talent on the dline...there is no excuse in year 4 to be as bad upfront as we are

The UT game was a step back. Newsflash..We don't have a ton of experienced talent and difference makers in the front 7 on defense beyond Jones. No **** ???... you don't say. When Jones went out we lost by far out best player. We replaced him with a very undersized freshman in Brown. The three linemen are first year starters. One is a first year and one is a second year Juco. The other is a Sophmore. The Outside linebackers are also Sophmores. The other MLB is Love, who doesn't look SEC caliber as a first year starter.
Couple that with injuries to our two corners and our second best player and safety was playing hurt.
On top of that our depth sucks right now. Elam is terrible and our other Dlinemen are young and inexperienced.
Oh yeah, and out depth sucks right now...lost Meant preseason, West, Hatcher. And Laster and Kobie Jones have been out for the season for weeks. Is what it is...not real surprisingly UT did what they did.
So give the doom and gloom a rest. Stoops is the same Coach he was when we won 5 of 6. Give it a rest
