What is the point of a bookmark for a fanbase that can't read?

Uh oh!

Look, you win or lose. Nothing Lamont said or anyone else said going to mean too much.
I love the confidence though, we had so many teams over the years beat better Calipari teams because they came in with that mindset. We are the better team and we are gonna win. We aren’t scared and we will give it our all. It will be a war.

If they are using what Butler said there, that means they ARE worried about this game. At this point in the season bulletin board material doesn’t mean much. Execution and desire to win is first and foremost for this game, not psychological games.

Imagine watching them brick shots against us and losing both games and then downplaying our guys lol we beat them idiots twice and neither were at full strength. They never had to face the full team and they're on the verge of getting swept. They have to be nervous at this point

Being honest here, not a fan of if. If it were Tennessee, a lot of our fans would be saying get this to the locker room too. No reason to poke the bear though. I know they’ll be up for revenge after 2 losses this season but why add fuel to the fire

If Butler said something untoward I’d get that but this was a nothing sandwich

No I understand it wasn’t anything stupid or anything even close. But having beaten them twice already this season they’ll be after it already. Just prefer to leave out the “we’re gonna win”. Maybe put “we’re battle tested and playing to win” I guess I’m just used to watching too many ufc/boxing matches where the cocky fella gets rocked lol

That’s what I’m saying though. It didn’t sound cocky to me. It seems Tennessee people are really having to reach on this one which reeks of desperation

Butler said (and believes) the same thing 90 percent of UT fans, players and coaches believe.

Using that innocuous quote to fire up a team who is 0-2 against the Cats this year . . . just very bad psychology on UT’s part.

It did not even sound like he was talking about the UT game in particular, they ask him how he they were battle tested and he said we just play with love and compassion and were gonna win that game. MEANING the games that battle tested us.

I remember a couple years back, one of their knucklehead football players came out and said “we don’t lose to Kentucky”. Then they proceeded to not lose to Kentucky.

Same deal.
This reminds me of when Lane Kiffin was UT's football coach. Kentucky actually had the better team but UT still won. After the game Kiffin said in the interview "At the end of the day they are still Kentucky and we are still Tennessee". I kinda liked that to tell you you truth.

We have nothing to lose. Let's give it our all in the game. Don't care about the past results — this is a new series, and the score is 0-0.

I believe we can beat them if we play our game
