8 people stabbed (none seriously, apparently) in a Minneapolis mall before an off-duty cop shot the guy dead. Witnesses say the attacker was shouting everybody's favorite desert war cry.

It looks like nobody was seriously injured, much less killed. Do you think that'd be the case if he were using a gun?

Not every gunman is successful either. It's just that you don't read as much about the stuff that fails. Make no mistake, a knife is a deadly weapon.

If you're close enough to stab somebody, you're close enough to shoot your target.

Anybody who says they'd rather be at arm's length from a gun rather than arm's length from a knife is a touching liar. Has nothing to do with public policy. Just basic physics.

And I wonder why I carry these days.... Bomb is a whole different animal though. It's only going to get worse if we keep letting these animals into our country.

I don't want to be close to either if someone intends to use them against me. That isn't physics, it's called common sense. It appears you're trying to argue that a knife isn't a deadly weapon o_O

Please quote where I said (or even implied) a knife can't be a deadly weapon, liar.

The knife in this case wasn't successful in taking any lives, and you know good and well that if somebody shot 8 people from point blank range, they would've been successful in killing multiple.

Maybe, just maybe, if one of those pillow biters weren't too scared to have some form of personal protection... you know, the kind that equalize gun and knife fights?

Why are you citing examples of people dying from knives? I never said knives can't kill people, I said guns are BETTER at killing people from close range. That's why we we arm soldiers and cops with guns even though they're way more expensive than knives.

Again, physics. You deliver exponentionally more force in a shorter amount of time with less energy expended if you're using a gun.

Give your boy just 1 hour of training and 2 more inches of steel and you have no argument. My point being, do you think a US Marine would have failed to make a kill like Punjab did? Using the exact same knife.

[laughing] Guys in here arguing against gun control about an example of a terrorist using a knife and not killing anyone. Smh arguing against gun people is literally like arguing against muslim sympathasizers. Completely nuts. Hey, you guys know what I can do if someone has a knife? Run away [laughing] I mean all you can do is laugh.

You should have quit while you could have saved face.

8 people were stabbed. They didn't run, they didn't pull out an uzi, or push the button on a nuke. They got stabbed. There are people shot and stabbed every day who don't die. Your assumption that magically they would be dead if he had a gun is weak.

Ironically you started this whack argument in a thread about a bombing that also killed no one. Is your next argument going to be that if they had shot the ground in that spot with a gun people would have died?
