Texas being good...is that necessarily a good thing for OU?

Undoubtedly, yes.

Competition is what makes you better.

Of course Bob would say "no" because he's been on auto-pilot vs UT due to their long term QB issues. And it showed the last three years in the RRR. Case McCoy(!) beats us, then Tyrone Swoopes sets a RRR THROWING(!) the ball (in a narrow loss, even though UT sucked that year), and last year a 1&4 Horns team, featuring a QB no longer even worthy of remaining a QB, beats us.

Considering this is versus our most hated rival, and they've been down, that most recent three year 1&2 record is f'n pitiful.

Well Texas has sucked the last 3 years and that led to OU laying total eggs in the RRR game. So now maybe with Texas having a pulse it will wake Bob up that he can't just sleepwalk into Dallas and just expect a win while half-assing it.

I always prefer playing a team that is on top of its game... Especially Texas. The tougher the opponent, the better I like it. Football ain't for sissies. It's no fun beating up on the Kansases of the world. Let's see what this squad is all about. Go Sooners

My hell, I hate Texas, but do we want our conference to look like a bunch of pansies, yeah we need for them to win, BUT WE NEED TO BEAT THEM. I have not seen our stadium have that loudness and fan participation like they had last night in a looooong time. We need to do our part as fans.

When was the last time you attended a big home game? I've watched replays of games I attended where the atmosphere was electric, and the TV broadcast doesn't capture it at all.
