Currently 12 for 41 from three.

NOT SHY.

Currently shooting under 40% with only 7 free throw attempts. Still in position to win.

This is why the analytics say to play this way.

I mean they're in an absolute dog fight with a 14 seed...

So...

Ok?

Because they are shooting under 40% and been out-rebounded. They also are missing their second-leading scorer.

The point is, Kentucky has been basically smoked in every game they shoot under 40% because they go away from the three-point shot.

Contrary, when you have great shooters (like Kentucky had before Jax was out), better than Texas Tech, and you have an ON night (say 40%) from three, you smoke the other team.

There's a reason Pope wanted 30+ attempts a game.

He's just gotten away from it in many games in lieu of tough twos or a haphazard post-up game.

Isn't it interesting that Pope's defensive strategy is to force the other team into long twos, yet he's ok with his own guys settling for long twos? Drives me nuts.

We didn't get away from threes. The other teams have taken them away. Quite easily.

I expect we'll be jumping for joy blasting away against Troy. And not finding daylight against Illinois.

That’s 29%. You see, Raymond, I don’t like that.
