WVU was only loss in Big 12 openers (9-1). Texas and Iowa State lost in 2nd week (8-2). 17-3 not too shabby. Not SEC. But respectable.

BIG 12 WEEK 2 RESULTS

WVU 66, Long Island 0

Neal Brown used everyone on his 3-deep chart and then some. Terrible opponent but good effort by Mountaineers to not mail in their effort.

#4 Oklahoma out-did WVU, shutting out Western Carolina, 76-0.

Baylor did OK in the whipping department, too, taking down Texas Southern, 66-7.

#15 Texas failed to live up to its press clippings another season, losing 40-41 to Arkanas.

#9 Iowa State lost to #10 Iowa, 27-17.

TCU beat California, 34-32.

Kansas State survived Southern Illinois, 31-23, thanks to a 4th quarter TD that sealed the victory.

Texas Tech escaped Stephen F. Austin, 28-22, stopping a final scoring attempt by TT’s opponent at the end of the game.

Kansas 22, #17 Coastal Carolina 49

Jayhawks kept it close for 3 quarters

Oklahoma State 28, winless Tulsa 23

Thanks to 21-point quarter in 2nd half.

Tulsa hasn’t won in Stillwater since the 20th century

Sounds like the Texas game had a real exciting ending. I last glanced at the score with about 2:00 to play and assumed an amusing *** whipping at the hands of Arkansas. UT must've pulled out the fabled 19 point play in the final minutes only to see Arkansas steal the win back with a sacrifice fly as time expired.

If TX doesn't get something better out of their QB position, we actually have a good chance of winning.

Only 1 problem with your theory. We don't have the offensive line that can push their panzy front 7 around for 300 rushing yards.

Agreed, but we have a chance in a glorified girl slap fight.

If GG actually gets a chance to play, we win that game.

Eventually he would have to pass the ball to keep running. He's no better than Doege in that department.

He looked confused at times. Doege has the same look, but one has played here 3 years and the other was playing his first meaningful snaps ever. We need to ride with the guy who will be here next year.
