Some good play by the Seniors tonight. Great night for Nancy and Williams. Solid Guard play for Greer. Come back for another Senior Year guys!

NU is not the easiest place to play. I always appreciate the guys who put four years+ into it.

Elyjah also great hustle and enthusiasm. From afar, it seems like he was more accepted than the usual one-year guy. And thanks to his Mom for all the obvious enthusiasm all year long.

On the plus side, Ryan Young has been enrolled for 4 years and is apparently a solid student...
so he will (probably) have earned his degree by the end of spring quarter...
but he didnt get honored on senior night...

then he will be back next year.

Maybe?

It’s gonna hurt when nance transfers for his Covid year.
If we can spend 100,000,000 on a basketball stadium remodel and 250,000,000 on a lakefront practice field and budgeting 250,000,000 for a new football stadium why can't we pay Nance to stay. After all he said he" loved" NU, coaches and team members.

I have no qualms for any NU student athlete that gets their NU degree and decides to move on, whether it be to another school for a grad transfer year, the pros or life. Would I love to have Nance back for one more year? Absolutely. But I will root for him whatever and wherever he lands.

I thought we could have used Williams more throughout the year as he was more of a PF than we have had for a while

Based on zero inside knowledge, I feel relatively confident that Nance will go pro. Probably won’t get drafted, but he’ll get a shot in Summer League/preseason. His size/body type/playing style is EXACTLY what the NBA likes these days. He’s got to get better and a little stronger as he’s not there yet, but he’ll get his chance. I am going to bet he’ll be playing in the G League next year.

Where do you think Nance is development-wise compared to Vic Law as a graduating senior? It is hard to compare them as players because their games are so different. However, it seemed like Vic had a lot of rough edges to work on and has done quite well for himself.

From a development standpoint, I think they’re close from where they are/were at the end of four college years, but in my eyes, Nance has a higher ceiling. Vic’s done quite well for himself in Australia and continues to get some looks in Summer Leagues/preseason so I don’t think the door has closed for him yet though.

Vic was a better player at NU. He doesn’t have the ceiling Pete has, but he stepped right in from the start to be a good player.
