loved that 69 Knicks team....all those late 60s 70s Knick Teams...Bill Bradley, Walt Frazier, Earl the Pearl and on and on.. But every team needs a heart and that was Willis Reed...taped up and ready to go.....Grambling State I think,

My roommate in med school("69-'73) had season tickets for the Knicks. Needless to say, I was a big Knicks fan and saw them win their titles. I saw Bill Bradley play every home game in his Princeton career, so it was natural to root for the Knicks. 69-73 were the golden years of the Knicks and I was fortunate enough to experience it first hand. My roommate also had season tickets to the Yankees, Giants and Jets(Joe Namath)-med school was not too bad. We both got to be team Docs for the Yankees-him the New York Yankees and me the Prince William Yankees-you can't have everything !

I read it many years ago. I still have a picture of Bill Bradley presenting me an award when I was a senior in HS. Bill was a good shooter but not very athletic yet he lasted 10 years in the NBA because he was a smart player. I believe McPhee predicted BB to become President of the United States=Senator and Presidential candidate-not too bad though

Bill played on the USA Olympic team in 1964 and he learned so much from that experience-he learned to pivot to the basket using a subtle arm hook and other tricks to help make up for his lack of athleticism. My little town of Princeton had 3 gold medal winners including a HS classmate, Leslie Bush, who won in diving-she was beautiful as well
