How many other bluebloods would that have happened to?! I’ve never seen it! It was OBVIOUS to EVERYONE watching that the shot was out of his hands in time! How was that call justifiable?!
It was obvious it was out initially when I looked at it but that was looking at the shot clock on the screen. That clearly showed .01 when it was out of his hands but the shot clock above the basket clearly showed it at 0 and it was still in his hands. It was the right call in the end but it's so confusing when you have the two different clocks not synched.

I thought it was good on the initial replay, then realized the clock on the screen didn't match the shot clock. Talk about a change in emotions. Kinda glad it worked out that way now.

I thought it was good based on the clock at right of TV screen, but I guess that wasn't the official time. The angle the ref's looked at of the clock over the goal, it was correct call. I was pissed because players have to talk and even the coach has to get in on that and yell CLOCK CLOCK CLOCK!

I honestly had no idea it was a thing until I saw people talking about it in the aftermath of Auburn’s buzzer beater that got taken off the board the other night, but apparently however they feed the clock to the corner of the TV screen has a couple of tenths of lag compared to what’s actually official on the floor. They do a terrible job explaining that on the broadcast, but it seemed to be what happened here. He got it off by the smallest of margins based on the broadcast clock, but when they showed the straight on look later, it was clearly still in his hand with the clock at 0 and the backboard lit up on the floor.

Either way, the officiating was awful tonight and nobody came to see pretty boy Joe Lindsey and his clowns blow the whistle every trip on cheap stuff. That’s middle school calls and not big time big boy basketball, every drive lsu shot fts…….fall down and get the call.

All of them. It was a good call. The replay plainly showed the ball was still in his hands at the moment the clock expired.

But the game had a happy ending anyways, so who cares?

Watching it live I didn’t think it was good. Oweh kept dribbling with time running out he started his shot a fraction to late.

I thought it was good by the shot clock on the tv but then I saw the shot clock on the goal .
The 2nd view which was the shot clock on the goal clearly showed the shot wasn't out of his hand in time, it was the correct call. The first view showed 0.1 & being good (the side view) the second view showed 0.0 on the shot clock above the goal & the ball still in his fingertips.

Refs gave LSU some soft calls down the stretch, especially when that kid lost the ball and took an extra step, and somehow it was a UK foul. Glad Malachi was able to whip out his balls of steel and make the bad calls an afterthought.

The shot clock violation call was correct, however -- the clock on the basket is the official one.

That was a really $hitty job by ESPN. I thought it was good from that the angle they showed over and over again before the refs announced their review. But I kept wondering "don't they have the camera shot you ALWAYS see from the front of the goal with the clock and light" which is the easiest way. And they actually did, but they didn't show it until after the review and it was clear from that angle that, no it was not good.

There were two clocks. The one on the main televised screen and the one on the basket. They weren’t synced. The basket clock was red when the ball was still in in hand. The other said .1.

LMAO we are constantly getting railroaded via officials. I didn’t see the shot clock light replay. Just the clock in the corner. I knew it went by the light, but they never showed that while I was watching. I immediately went out to my garage soon as they waved off the basket. Never had a chance to see the light replay.

Yesh, the ball was still in his hand.

But the officiating in this game reminds me of what we used to get back in 2017-19 where every fingernail touch was a foul. That greatly affects game outcomes.
The officiating was pretty poor. They did get the shot clock issue correct and I'm not blaming our total lack of offense in the first half on the officials but it seemed like LSU got away with whatever they wanted and we couldn't breath on them without a whistle.

There's a good chunk of SEC officials (Joe Lindsey, Doug Shows, Pat Adams, and Don Dailey just to name a few) that love nothing more than to insert themselves into the game anyway they can. They have an idea we are there to see them.

Dude! I just said I didn’t see that replay, just the clock replay. Also, who tf are you? Why are you even posting in this thread?
If you didn’t see the replay then why did you make a thread saying it was OBVIOUS the ball was out of his hand and complaining it wouldn’t happen to any other blue blood? Probably a good idea for life in general to not be so confident about things you actually haven’t seen.
