Can a D3 wrestler compete in the B1G? This will be interesting - if he starts. But it’s always nice to see more wrestlers in McCormick.
Dam straight he can! He will definitely make nationals if our current, super frosh,takes a redshirt. We already have a couple solid 55 lbers including a frosh that won a match at nationals last year. We return everyone from a team that finished tenth in the nation. We are deep at nearly all weights.
We also had a solid 65 pounder who has been injured these last few years. Maybe he is done. Not sure
Wrassler, since when have their been 55 and 65 pound weight classes in collegiate wrestling? Isn’t that a really low body weight for an adult?
165! LOL. Maybe he is 174 by now. We need a backup to Troy Fisher who is another super frosh. By the way, we have an amazing lightweight coming in from Nebraska or Oklahoma around 135 pounds. Kid is gonna be a national champ. He just made the world team trials with Ryan Deakin this past weekend.
Possibly better! If Carter Young goes 41, he can Possibly be top 4! But we have three solid 41lbers already with an improving kid from at Charles il who won a state title in Illinois. Plus,Frankie from Florida, who is a stud plus two or three time ncaa qualifier Colin Valdiviez. My guess is Carter Youbg redshirt. Our 97 pounder is doing great this summer up at heavyweight and will AA,Lucas Davison and Jack Jessen and Troy Fisher are having solid summers. Especially Jessen. My guess is 5-7 in nation,but maybe higher. Deepest team I have ever seen at NU!
Our top grappler finish all-time was 5th during our best Herbert year right?

When Jack Griffin won NCAAs,we took fourth as Brad Traviola finished 2nd. Next year's team may be just as good.
Just saw that Lucas Davison's brother transferred in from Michigan. He is an excellent wrestler. Very deep team with a bunch of solid student athletes. Deepest team dual wise I have seen at NU.
Our wrestling team roster is absolutely loaded. Max Mayfield is a stud,along with Joey Vandemere who is ranked #1 in his weight. Plus, we have a solid kid coming in from Davison 's high school

Herbert's senior season was amazing-undefeated and did not give up a take down or reversal the entire season
Herbert also took silver at the World Championships around that time! Great kid. On my Facebook.
Team is wrestling solid! No Deakin today! I lost my password on here three different times!
The team is very deep! Young guns can’t break the lineup! We definitely have a chance to finish within top 5-15 this year! Deakin is a beast and may win it all this year
