SEC Breakdown: The top-ranked commits in every SEC class. (2017) Rob Cassidy and Woody Wommack | Rivals.com
"The Man for UK: JaVonte Richardson
The Rank: No. 97 overall

The Lowdown: Richardson shocked many earlier this year when he committed to the Wildcats. Rather than explore options like most early commits, Richardson has remained loyal to UK and is the centerpiece of the program's 2017 class so far. A talented prospect on both sides of the ball, Richardson could play defensive back or wide receiver for the ‘Cats. "

And some of the others are? How do they rank to the UK committment's for that year so far with the rest of the SEC? That was what I got out of that article as being the question asked.

I am really excited about Ajan, King and Koback as players who compare, but also like how this staff identifies talent. I am not the guy to compare to the SEC. Everyone in the SEC can recruit and comparing classes is an interest I don't have. This next UK class is about filling particular needs. Class comparisons rarely consider the true needs of a team for each class. The 2018 class will be more of the traditional class, IMO.

One thing I like, UK is not recruiting as much for immediate impact. 2017 players may fight to get onto the depth chart, but I think Stoops could RS the whole class, if he wanted. Only a guy like Jed Wills could come in and make a push for starter.
