I’m thinking the remaining 8 members will find 4 - 8 more schools to hook up together. It may be easier to attract other schools without OU and Texas. Cincinnati, UCF, Memphis, SMU, Houston, Louisiana to name a few.
Zzzzzzz collection of misfits.I’m thinking the remaining 8 members will find 4 - 8 more schools to hook up together. It may be easier to attract other schools without OU and Texas. Cincinnati, UCF, Memphis, SMU, Houston, Louisiana to name a few.
That is the going speculation but the payout\tv contract will not be in the same hemisphere if you believe the talking heads. As a result, their programs will dwindle. It would likely result into a G5 type of conference without championship winners getting an automatic bid to the playoffs.I’m thinking the remaining 8 members will find 4 - 8 more schools to hook up together. It may be easier to attract other schools without OU and Texas. Cincinnati, UCF, Memphis, SMU, Houston, Louisiana to name a few.
I am kinda looking at it like many of the remaining Big 12 will be absorbed by the American Athletic Conference.I’m thinking the remaining 8 members will find 4 - 8 more schools to hook up together. Agreed.I am kinda looking at it like many of the remaining Big 12 will be absorbed by the American Athletic Conference.
OU will be playing in the SEC in 2023 and maybe in 2022. There is nothing to gain for Baylor, TTECH, OSU, Kansas (basketball) and KSU by staying in the Big XII. This will be the same as WAC and MAC. TV interest will be too low. I think WVU goes to ACC. KU, KSU and ISU goes to Big 10. OSU, TCU, Tech & Baylor Pac 12.I expect the hatred of OU by OSU will reach an all-time high during the three seasons before OU leaves the Big-12. The next three games may reflect this with OSU desperately wanting to cap off its rivalry with a win or two. The OU game will be more important than ever for the Cowboys, if that's possible. OU had better be focused in these remaining games against "little brother".
