Name your starting 5 (DUKE) Players, based ONLY on Their Performance As A Professional Basketball Player.

I Will Lead Off

C- Christian Laettner
PF- Elton Brand
SF -Grant Hill
SG - JJ Redick
PG - Kyrie Irving

Are their cases to be made for Dawkins, Boozer, Deng,Maggette, Gminski, Ingram??

C Elton Brand- 2 time All Star, top 5 in MVP voting in 2006.
F Zion Williamson- Duh. Injuries will be the only thing stopping him from being a future MVP.
F Grant Hill- Still an amazing career, would have been "one of the best ever" if not for injuries
G Jayson Tatum- Sure, he's probably a forward. But he has to be on the team. A future MVP candidate.
G Kyrie Irving- A champion. Made one of the biggest shots in NBA history.

Brandon Ingram is tough to leave off, made the first of what will be many All-Star teams this year.
JJ has had an outstanding career, proved all the haters wrong, no All-Star teams is why I left him off.
Carlos Boozer made 2 All-Star teams, he's a tough one to leave off too.

Right now I agree with you. A few years down the road with all due respect to Elton I believe Zion will be in the PF position. Looking forward to see how Jason and Brandon come along at SF. Grant is gonna be hard to move out unless one of these two turn into perennial all stars and some pretty good career stats. JJ is a lock right now at SG. Not seeing any Duke player better right now. Kyrie hands down. A lot depends on what position they are labled. Tatum and Ingram possible shooting guards and Elton a center. Hard choices. OFC
