A lot more fun to go to the British Open, even given the nearly always crappy weather, as opposed to the Euro final last night, where the soccer hooligans were on the warpath after the match.

^ Went to an EPL match some 15 years ago in London. Afterwards wife & I went to a pub. They had bodyguards at entrance to keep visiting team fans out. Weren't going to let us in b/c we weren't in locals colors, but when I spoke they realized we were harmless Yanks. Good time.

I’ll sound like a broken record, but RSGs is on WGT. Some holes are tricky little boogers, especially with the wind 25-30 mph.

Lol... I went to a game in the Netherlands once. We were in line to get in and these dudes next to us said we were in the wrong line. I said, "how do you know where we are sitting". He said we don't have the right colors on and this is for visitors only. Sure enough, he was right. They actually block off a part of the stadium for the visiting team and no getting through.

I love the old dude who announces the tee times, he is just old school.

The 1:15 Tee Time for game #37, from the United States Tiga Wooods." Had his little podium out there with the umbrella to keep the sun off of him.

^ You are kidding right ? It makes you think and use every club in the bag. Strategic golf, not just grip it and rip it. Love seeing players putt it from the fairway, use slopes and other parts of the course to your advantage. It is not the plush "man made beauty" like in the US if that makes any sense. It is what golf is suppose to be.

Prediction time :
Favorite - Jon Rahn - he is just so complete, if he avoids letting his temper get the best of him, he will be there.
Euro Young Gun - Victor Hovland
American Euro - Johannes Veerman
Longshot American - Daniel Berger
Older Euro in contention - Lee Westwood

Of course, we have the Barbasol Championship in Nicholasville that's running opposite of this for the guys who couldn't make it into the Open. And right on cue, we have bad weather running through town like the other editions of the tournament.

I love having a PGA event in Kentucky, but I wish it was not running opposite a major and/or during a time when we get bad weather.

I said that four years ago when it was announced, very proud of my home state and golf course, but in July, it can thunderstorm every day for a week. There is literally nothing the tournament organizers and grounds crew can do about it.

Thursday and Friday are looking pretty good though. Weekend may be less so, but keeping my fingers crossed. I could be wrong, but this looks like the best field yet for the Barbasol, much better than year 1.

I volunteered in the first year of the Barbasol and had a great time doing the actual work (Shot Track). Outside of that, I have a hard time picturing a more poorly run major regional event. I hope it’s gotten better.

It has, but thanks for your efforts, 2nd year was much better, IMO. Hoping for good things this week.

I am watching the featured group with Spieth and Bryson and the camera work is really lacking. They can never seem to find the shot and at times the camera man acts like he is chugging beer instead of holding the camera steady. 😂

Because he probably is. That’s always my least favorite part of watching any European event. The camera work isn’t even close to what get with the PGA Tour.
