What a comeback by the Aztecs after being down 14 in the 2nd half. Now they are in the final. Just an amazing win. Have to compare it to the 2000 UM game in terms of heart-stopping experience. Go Aztecs!

I think both of those teams had better rosters than anyone in the Big10. They both deserved to be where they are. If the Big10 is gonna make it back to the Championship they are going to need to build better rosters.
Sidenote FAU only had 1 senior on their team.

The Aztecs physicality wear teams down.
Senior-laden and experienced they were impressive in their unrelenting pressure in the 2nd half, esp in the last minutes. What a game!

Hats off to FAU and their coach. They had a great run against some top teams. Go Aztecs!

There was some classic offensive basketball and defense being played. Every player was fundamentally sound and physical. Very impressed and, yes, those rosters were better than the Big Ten's.

That was one of the best basketball games I have seen in a long time.

I was, like most of America, rooting for FAU. But SDSU is a great underdog story too. Their HC was Fischer's (sp?) assistant for like 25 years and now is in his place so he is getting his chance to be a HC and doing great at it. Good for him!

Both teams really are underdogs, I mean, who thought San Diego would win it all or play for the championship? Congratulations to them.

FAU just was not able to get an offensive rebound at about the five minute mark again and again and again and again. Going to be tough to watch that game for the team and coaches in the future. Oh well.

All the people that didn't watch because of none of the traditional powers left missed one helluva game.

UCONN would be a horrible matchup for SDSU. They basically play the same style just on a much higher level. They better hope Miami shoots out of their minds

Likely means that most of that roster will wind up in the SEC or ACC next season.
Maybe. Or they’ll stick around. Their coach is morphing into the new Shaka Smart. Just signed an extension last week.

Well, NU beat a team in the first round that actually beat SDSU, so your roster analysis might be too accurate

Tough loss for the Owls. Pretty much outplayed them all night. Some missed free throws and poor defensive rebounding off SDSU’s misses came back to haunt FAU. They had a great run…just couldn’t finish tonight.

Defensive rebounding problems because the Aztecs wore them down esp in the last minutes? And don’t underestimate them against UConn or Miami (looking more like UConn at this point but who knows). Go Aztecs!

Yeah, that’s it…wore them down. Some long/unlucky bounces off those Aztec missed free throws is more like it.

UConn cruising into the Finals. Should be a great game.

No, OFFENSIVE rebounding came back to haunt FAU. They had a lot of chances to put a basket in and didn't do it!

Play 4 guards and you make yourself vulnerable to offensive rebounding by your opponent.
