Used this site for years / several purposes

this specific link is to Fiji

Here are 2 little known facts about Fiji

It's a chain of 300 islands -- where a little over 100 are inhabited
Natives called it FICI -- which sounds a LOT like FECES -- so score one for Colonialism there with the name change

And military service is voluntary for those 18 and over
BUT MANDATORY FOR THOSE 55 AND OVER
Military service age and obligation:

You gotta wonder what THATS about

And unless it's a wild misprint -- we learn that there over over 900,000 people scattered among those islands

And a little over 600 in the work force

This site will also show you several island areas where drugs are running into the US and/or where "offshore financial services" are a significant source of revenue

some remote locations will surprise you with the resources they have and some import nearly everything and rely heavily on tourism or are subsidized by another, developed nation that sees to things

Lovely Vanuatu is a particular little gem of a travel destination .....my daughter was looking at "best island paradises for a vacation" ......so I pulled the file on them and we took a closer look

Most of the population doesn't have reliable access to drinking water

However they DO have the most active volcanoes on the planet -- some that have been in some stage of eruption for the better part of CENTURIES - cyclones sweep through in regular cycles and "minor earthquake activity" .....which DOES produce tsunamis

A solid 2/3rds of the "urban dwellers" have "improved sanitation access" -- the rest is just considered ,..........."unimproved"

Somehow about a 1/3rd of he population is obese (that stocky south pacific islander thing?)

there are like 15 political parties and 100 different languages spoken

their national anthem?
it's called :"Yumi, Yumi, Yumi"

So you think islands specifically for the purpose of moving drugs and money don't exist? You're a plebe

I saw one that had -8% GDP growth
and one of their main sources of revenue ... was taxing the people who were leaving

.......and a substantial off shore "financial services industry"

I checked out American Samoa because it's part America, I like bigger girls, and their wrestling is fun to watch until one pulls the diaper away from the other ones butt crack.

Unemployment is 29.8% so there is going to be a ton of big girls needing a man with SNAP benefits. I'm saving for a ticket.

Several years ago at a customer in Sacramento, Ca, they had an extrusion operator who was from Fiji. I asked him why he left what I thought would be paradise, and he pretty much described what the CIA World Fact Book did. He said there was a lot of natural beauty, but most people were dirt poor, including himself, which was why he came to the states.

Any info on Harlan ky or is the travel ban still in effect ?

IM So haPPY to help with THat!!!

Harlan - a name which comes to us from the Frankish word Harrr -- meaning "smells like methane" and the French word "laA-lA" -- meaning "dirty river where I once saw baby diapers in the trees".....

IS making tremendous efforts to erase their outmoded borders and combine their budgets- brainpower-and noble police force ...with all local neighbors

This new collective people-persons will eliminate local leaders and decisions and will usher in a new era for the hard working - workers who work in these Fine wooded hilly hovels

Harlan and fellow progressives in Pineville, Friday Frakes, Middlesboro, AND the Republic of Kettle Island - have now combined forces to create --- The People's Democratic Hills of Browney Tooth (w-fireworks out back!)

Flag to be determined

All are welcome to come join us in the noble struggle to have Tennessee pay for dental care
