People keep talking about $22 mil but that's not the issue. It's minutes distributed to available talent. Pope chose to stretch his money across 12 guys and provide minutes accordingly. His substitution patterns reflect a coach trying to keep EVERYONE happy.

Elite talent want guaranteed time on the court and money. The top teams have 1-2 studs who play the majority of mins blended with role players. Depth isn't good if the talent range is average.

If you try to please everyone, you'll ultimately please no one.
