So..we can't pass or shoot..but a guy who's played pro ball who can do both is just sitting on the bench and can't even play a single minute. Doesn't even look like he has any interest in taking his warm up off.

Did he quit? Sleep with someone's wife? What am I missing?

Because he has two strengths for us that are huge overall team weaknesses and he still can't see a minute. Not a single minute. But Garrison is allowed to airball 4 left handed hooks and play plenty. Just explain it to me like I'm stupid because I guess I am.

He has no strengths and is terrible. Explained well enough for ya? The only argument is that these other guys are also terrible.

He at least has the THREAT of being able to hit a shot. The defense has to at least respect him out there which opens up the floor.

Neither is anyone else. But everyone else available to play has at least played a couple minutes. He doesn't even look like he expects to take his warm up off. He's either quit or something else is going on.

No one is saying he's significantly better than anyone on the team, I'm just asking why everyone else has played and he can't see a single minute. Maybe he comes in and stinks up the joint and needs to be pulled. Sure. But why is everyone else allowed to look like garbage but he doesn't even get a single minute? And I don't think he played last game either. I'm more asking if something is going on where he's just quit. He's totally uninterested on the sideline too. I'm not saying he's gonna be some savior.

Ok so they are all bad. But at least the other guys are athletic and can play defense. Jelly is not athletic. Bad matchup

It really is insane how many shots we throw up that donā€™t hit the rim. Three pointers, mid-range, layupsā€¦..itā€™s weird.

St. John is not some super athletic team lol, neither is Indiana. If he can't see a single minute vs. These two squads, not a single minute, then I don't know why we even brought him here.

I thought he looked pretty decent to start the sesson considering he had just gotten to the US not long prior. Hes adjusting to a new team but ALSO to US basketball. On top of that, ive seen no attitude problems from him like we have been from several other players.

70% of this squad has no business being here. Pope is the worst recruiter we have ever had here. Iā€™m sorry for jellys playing time but he doesnā€™t belong here either. But at least they are well payed

I can't understand why Pope insists on two centers out there at the same time. He's been doing it with Garrison and Moreno, and now JQ is playing next to Garrison. BG is not a PF!

Man, you worked hard to ***** about something, didn't you? 12 months he had four points two rebounds, a block and a steal and no turnovers. How many guys that played today can say they have no turnovers.

Well, thatā€™s fair enough if youā€™re just advocating to give him a few minutes in a throw everything at the wall and see what sticks kind of way. Iā€™d still prefer we have a tighter rotation and let some lineups build cohesion, but I can at least get that perspective.

The basic point of my comparison was that it keeps getting repeated that Jelavic (player B) can pass and shoot when that just isnā€™t in evidence right now. Theyā€™re pretty similar, but Garrison (player A) actually has slightly better shooting and assist numbers despite being the player a lot of our fans want shot into the sun. I havenā€™t given up hope that he could be a contributor after another year or two to adjust to the US game, but Iā€™m just not sure Jelavic does anything the players ahead of him in the rotation canā€™t right now.

lol well I could complain about how bad Noah and Chandler were. You canā€™t be 6ā€™10 and shoot bricks from 3 feet away. Besides those shots I said in other thread he played really well.

Don't forget: It was most likely that everyone here had some percentage of a difference. Never forget that. No matter how insane we all are it's for many damn good reasons. But we all love Kentucky and that's just the way it Fkn is!
