I don't think I've seen one recruit discussed on so many Sooner sites in the past year. OU fans have a real interest in if, how or will he become a star.

I really think you could call it a fascination with any Oklahoma high school football player that signs with OU. We that live in the state and follow HS really want to see these players succeed. For me, I'm watching Mo Overton from Jenks. Before him it was Stanvon Taylor and Aaron Colvin.

Over the years I've seen so many of them make us proud. I can't even begin to name them all, but Vessels, Owens, Selmon's, Davis and Lehman come to mind. Bradford and Calmus too.

Well, I've just hit the tip of the berg and wanted to see if some of you can post some additional names that stared for the Sooners out of the great state of Oklahoma? (Tisdale, Adams in BB).

Back to the OP. I'm pulling for Wood. I hope he has a great career, now list some past players from the state of Oklahoma............

Wood is a nice blend of size and athleticism. He could be a premier TE if he wants to be. That's a big if

Not to diminish the veracity of the OP but, isn't this Wood guy a decided head case that has some massive personal issues?

I mean, he was on the team, in Norman, then quit.
What is his status?

Walk on. He lost his scholly. Reports I've seen was due to having a child and personal issues due to the fact. Some just said he needed to grow up. I remember those years.

He is one physical presence and reminded me of a Blake Bell with speed from the film I saw. He's like 6'5" tall and again reported he was up to 265#'s and working out under Smitty's off season program (not on campus). This is all heresay..Remember, Ryan Broyles didn't start out that well..........We'll see.

Yep, pretty frustrating in that, if Oklahoma had about 15, 20 million peeps...our recruiting would be crazy...(call the NCAA compliance) good.

(not to mention a butt load more electoral votes)

Oh well, if and buts, candy and nuts...you know the rest.

The thing is k2c you will always come out on the losing end of any argument we have. Why you ask? You and your buddy sit around making junior high comebacks, but the smack on y'all is actually true. I know it, you know it. Everyone else here knows it. So either discuss a good topic or come back with some stupid little comeback I'd hear junior high kids say. Your choice. "You're obsessed with me" isn't a junior high response?

And I do agree that he could never win an argument with because you're to stupid to realize you've lost. That's why nobody tries and you get junior high remarks, because it's all you deserve or have the mental capacity to grasp.

Fitty why not? There are plenty of fb groups and most of us have Facebook. It's another way to discuss OU sports with no threats of bans.
