Witness the commentary in the thread entitled Barker!!! Where does any decent-caring fan/individual, focus on; will he(Barker) be able to return to the gridiron by spring, has Barkers' career as a QB come to an end etc etc!

As true fans, we need to be totally concerned for a complete & total recovery by this young man!

I may be wrong but I think it's a given that fans care about his recovery and wish him well. He can't come back as a player nor would his career end if he comes back. Don't those things all go hand in hand ?

I think the OP is thinking his treatment should not be hurried for the sake of football.

And of course they won't. Not from the medical staff at UK at least. That's not going to stop fans from asking/inquiring about his health. That's just what fans do in every sport and every fanbase.

I don't know a single UK football fan than feels " entitled" . Basketball fans are a different story . Silly post .

My point Kats23, was that some fans appear to be more concerned about his return to the gridiron over his health (for now & for the future)!!!!!!

And some fans were heavy on the criticism when it is entirely possible that he could have been the QB we saw the first half of the first game of the year instead of the poor facsimile we saw after that because of the injury. I sure hope he is that first QB and returns to that form next year, hard to say how it goes right now, but in any case he was a huge factor in our progress with his recruiting. I wish him the best whether he returns or not.

Barker was lights out in that first half against USM. Here's hoping for a full recovery.

If we go into next season with a healthy Barker and SJ being 1A and 1B on the depth chart with two pretty good freshmen prospects behind them (Hoak, and Clark) then I will be pretty happy with the QB spot. But if Barker is not able to play, I think the QB position is once again a big question mark for 2017

Didn't you read. Barker (even if healthy) will never play fot UK again.
There are a handful of posters that are adamant about that

Praying for a complete recovery for Drew and welcome him back as our starting quarter back. If he returns to start someday that means we have one heck of a quarterback crew because we have some good talent coming in. Get well soon Drew

You are correct, and there are a TON of posters on here that don't let their lack of knowledge about ANY situation keep them from posting whatever they feel like at the time, LOL..
