That is an impressive feat, no matter the quality of the bowl games.
But it's also an interesting statement about expectations at a place like Minnesota vs a place like Penn State. That list of bowl games for Minnesota is : Quicklane, Qualcomm, Quicklane, Outback, Rate, Pinstripe, Quicklane, Duke's Mayo, and last night's Rate bowl. At least one of those was reached with a losing record and several of them featured G5 opponents. It's hard to imagine the fan bases at Penn State and the other teams that consistently finish ahead of Minnesota in the Big Ten touting that kind of bowl success.
