The impact on UK's program if the Cats beat Bama twice next season?

Alabama is THE program in college football.

If the Cats could pull off the huge upset in Tuscaloosa, and then go on a Cinderella run and knock off the Tide again in the SEC Championship Game, just think how that would accelerate Stoops' rebuilding process.

Rob, who do you think UK will beat in the 1st round at ATT Stadium? Michigan or Ohio State?

The games have not been played yet so who really knows what the outcome will be. Robcatt has a 50/50 chance. Lol

I never say 0 chance, and absolutely never say 00 chance, I have seen forty point favorites lose in football.

But the chances of UK beating Bama twice next year is about as close to 0 as you can imagine, because if UK can beat them Bama won't be good enough to win the SEC West------but if they did lose to UK and win the west they wouldn't overlook UK twice in the same year, and the nineteen FIVE stars that should be on their roster would pull out a thriller------LOL.

It would not accelerate Stoops' rebuilding process at UK, it would stop it. If Mark Stoops could somehow pull off two wins like that he would not be the coach at UK next year. He would be the coach at whichever top 5 school he chooses.

My dad says this and his father used to say it as well: "If" is the biggest word in the English language to be only two letters.

I am an optimist by nature. But it is delusional to think we will beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2016. Not happening. Give Stoops a couple more years of strong recruiting classes and we will become competitive in games like this.

Well I'll have to say at least this is a pleasant departure from the "let's just make a bowl by 2018" crowd.

Re-reading the posts on this thread it's amazing how some UK fans think. We take extreme views and positions and forget the vast grey area called reality. Yes we're tired of mediocrity, but the solution isn't to dream up crazy scenarios and insult everyone who won't follow the deranged leading lemming over the cliff.

Walk before you run. Crawl before you think about running.

Meant as a joke or not, we haven't even figured out the crawling bit.

What is realistic to you....

For 2016, making a bowl game, having a winning SEC record of 5-3, winning a bowl game, and finishing in the top 25 are realistic goals.

Beating Bama TWICE including at Tuscaloosa and at the Georgia Dome are simply not realistic goals for 2016. You can debate and scrutinize every single aspect of this statement, and you will find out that no one outside the most hardcore blue kook-aid drinkers believe this is remotely possible.
