I am not sure why we were being so aggressive offensively when we were up by 7.
I thought for sure it was a 3, the ref signalled two as soon as he shot and they didn't review, so....
I cannot believe that they didn't review it. Sure looked like a three
Bump. Ultimately doesn’t matter but I’m curious if anyone ever saw a different angle or know if they ever reviewed this
You guys spent 15 years complaining about Cal taking the air out of the ball while leading late and now you're complaining about being too aggressive with the lead. Funny stuff to be honest.
I don't recall it being reviewed, but I went back on espn+ and in action you can't see his feet, there are people standing in front row that obscure view where his feet are.
I remember during the game one referee signaling for it to be reviewed as it happened
The rule is that the player must be BEHIND the 3 point line when releasing the shot, regardless of where they land after shooting it. It appeared to me that he started the shot directly behind the line and was over top or in front of the line when he released it.
Yeah this is a pretty simple thing. It would have been looked at at the next dead ball timeout and adjusted if needed.
It’s where your feet last touched the floor prior to release. You could take off from behind the 3 point line and not release it until you cross the free throw line in the air and it would still be a 3 pointer.
I was VERY shocked that it was counted a 2. Just initially the first gut reaction was thst it wouldn't have been even a question but then the announcer said 2 pointer... idk
It was a 3 pointer. Ref got confused and was looking at the NBA 3 point line which Jax stepped over.
But it was never corrected right? I can't seem to find it on the replay. Anyone got the time or a rough estimate of when he made that. Lol. I spent about more time skimming thru it looking than if I'd just rewatched it lol
The shot was made with 3:52 ramaining to make the score 74-71 Gonzaga. We scored 8 more points in regulation. 2 free throws by Williams, 2 free throws by Robinson, mid range jumper by Robinson, mid range jumper by Carr.

Thanks. I had not seen this angle. The TV shot was from behind and it looked like his foot was between the NBA line and the college line. This shot looks like his toe is on the line.
