At 62 years old, I’ve been blessed to witness so many great moments in Kentucky basketball.
This one ranks right up there with some of the best.
The great thing is, with Coach Pope, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s going on 2am.
And here I sit, reading Rupp Rafters and listening to the post game.
Tired?
Hell no.

Nothing like Kentucky basketball.

Nice to feel this way again, isn't it. I'm over the moon with where we are, and where we're going.

The thing that gets me really excited here is that this team was cobbled together at the last minute with the portal and a couple of freshmen. Pope's coaching really is that good. His adjustments are next level.

Just wait until the following years where he gets time to build and recruit exactly what he wants. We already see the class we have coming in next year, we seem to be in the lead for Wilson.

This should scare the rest of college basketball.

Enjoy it and savor the moments! It has been way too long since we could legitimately feel this excited about Kentucky Basketball again and have hope for winning a National Championship.

Been following Kentucky basketball since the 74 season, and this one reminds me of some of those back in the day, staying up late after listening to Cawood, except now it's the Goose.

Got that old school UK feel to it. Hard nosed win baby, kick a little tush and get back on the bus sorta' feel to it...

My nerves are on high already, I had lots of worry under Cal but it was always not to blow it. So many games I just tuned out the last 4 years. I am now nervous because I care again 100%. These game matter so bad again.

My favorite Robert Goulet jam behind this gem.

Dude, I couldn't agree more. I had grown apathetic under Cal. This is like the 90s again. I didn't think we'd see that again. Games like this further drives the nail in Cals coaching coffin. I HATE to say that because Cal is a GREAT person and has a big heart for people. He just can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. So glad that is the hell out of here!

I weirdly felt like we were going to win the whole game tonight, even when it felt like we were hovering around a 5 point deficit for what felt like 7-8 minutes. Just had confidence in the guy on the sideline to come up with a plan to win the game.

It is the feeling I had in the Pitino years. I went into each game with excitement and never expected to lose. We had a Coach in Pitino that helped the player's overcome adversity and I am getting that feeling about Pope. Pope hates to lose and makes adjustment. Cal only wanted to win to stroke his ego.
