Let’s hope it doesn’t end up being what it’s made out to be, but would be interested to hear some updates from different areas here.

apparently the Ohio River is stopping it. I live in Clarksville and we had a very thin icing in the morning. I went out at 9 AM and everything was fine. My weather app has said it has been snowing all day and I've yet to see anything

Here’s to hoping it stays that way.

there was very little. I was rather surprised considering the entire area floods when it gets cloudy

We’re getting sleet on top of about 1/4 inch of ice here in Shelbyville. A total mess

We’ve got drooping trees already in the Veterans Park area. I thought we might be just on the outside of it but it looks like we’re getting the full brunt. Not looking great for the next few hours.

Appears it’s not going to be the disaster that “boy who cried wolf” Bailey was predicting but we could have a few power outages.

It's just starting and they showed up to .60 in sum parts near Warren and Edmonson. Unless it unleashes hell over night I'm not seeing it.
Ice is a different animal but I suspected no power for South Edmonson were I'm at.Got generator and new kerosene heater so I'm good. Right now it's 33 and doomsday forecast is a miss.

I watch Chris Bailey from KWC and his models was looking bad for several days with forecast of near crippling amounts. So I prepared and got music and food and heat.

I have a general rule, that if I prepare (make sure generator works, get fire wood ready, stock up on food, etc...) the storm won’t happen... appears to be the case this time. We’ll have some power outages, but it won’t be that bad

Daviess County is suffering wide spread power outages.

My power went out at 7:45 and just came back on. Four power poles snapped along the Audubon Parkway and closed traffic in both directions, but is back open.

The roads were awful yesterday afternoon in the east end of Louisville. I'm surprised Clarksville was so much better off.

Live in Lebanon Junction. Got up at about an hour early to go put salt on the iced over driveway since I couldn’t last night cause it was raining which would wash it away. Was sleeting while I was salting. Looks pretty bad with the ice causing drooping trees but I can only see an acre or so. Gonna grab the chainsaw and head down the mile backroad I live on in case trees have fallen.
Update- Had to cut one tree that fell across the road but made it to work by 5:59 with one minute to spare!
Roads are pretty bad

Woke up to a limb cracking. In Nicholasville we have a nice icy sheen over everything. In my backyard at least, the ground is more slush than ice but all the trees, vehicles, etc are covered in ice.

Warren and Edmonson faired well. Probably not listen to KWC anymore,he had crippling ice storm, hell I can still make it to work, never getting a extra day off this winter.

1,000 houses without power is hardly "widespread".

I'll second this assessment. Bowling Green city schools are open today. County had a planned day off for teacher vaccines

That
DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Power has been restored after a large power outage in Daviess County.
Kenergy originally announced that 5,255 members were without power, saying Big Rivers was experiencing an issue with their transmission feed.
As of 9:15 a.m., Kenegry said all power has been restored.

That was 5,000 over their entire service area stretching from Lake barkley to Breckenridge county.
