Murray Boyles is having an incredible season and he is doing this as a freshman. He has made a huge impact on both sides of the floor that effects the outcome of games. The delay to his season was worth the wait and when I saw glimpses of his performance against blemson I knew he was going to help South Carolina this season.

I hope tomorrow night is not his last game in Colonial Life Arena in a South Carolina Jersey. Hoping he is at South Carolina next season showing off his three point shot.

Certainly hope not and hate to make that suggestion. If he stays, and with recruits already coming in, things look really promising. Also, based on this year's performance, I see LP's recruiting phone getting quite busy.

We need a few more of these studs from Cola. Lost out on the one from Lexington (headed to Tx). I think his decision would have been different had Lamont arrived at USC a year earlier. Lamont needs to put a wall up around Cola for recruiting. Just in the past several years the area has produced GG (Ridgeview), Julian Phillips (Blythewood), CMB (AC Flora) and Cam Scott (Lexington). 2 NBA players and Likely two more.

I wouldn't be worried about him leaving. He's a key player for a SEC championship contending team. If the concern is NIL, LP will find whatever is necessary to keep him.

Plus, maybe it's bc we're not hyper focused on bball as much as we are football, but it doesn't seem like guys are transferring from one P5 team to another to chase bags. I know Coop came from Minny, but he's coming home. Meechie wasn't getting PT at OSU. It would be extremely risky of an established player on a championship caliber team to jump ship, unless he feels like he's not getting developed. And I don't know how anyone could come to that conclusion.

I was thinking money could sway him away from here, but at the same time I really believe that kids want to play for Coach Paris and that is one of Coach Paris great qualities. I was surprised that Hankins Sanford transferred from South Carolina last season.

I was surprised he couldn't earn more PT than 8 minutes a game. He wasn't very good.

Columbia is and has been inordinately possessed of prime basketball talent for many years, and now that applies to both genders. There's just something about the Columbia area that produces an amazing number of great players.

He was only a freshman. I think he would have gotten better being around Coach Paris for a few years. At the same time he could have been encouraged to leave. Who knows. I will say that Coach Paris capitalized on every available scholarship last spring and summer.

Maybe. I think LP knew he needed experience. I'd rather have BJ than SH.

I think the bigger concern would be the pull of the NBA rather than a transfer. He's on mock drafts as a guy who could get taken.

I heard he's dating a white girl from the women's team. Probably not going anywhere next year.

I’ve seen a couple of opinions. But he doesn’t have a jumper. He gets his points at the rim. I don’t think his game translates to the NBA right now. Aren’t many 6-7 guys in the NBA with zero range. Having said that, the NBA drafts on potential, so you never know.

Yeah I'd never even considered him a threat to leave for the NBA yet because of the lack of a jumper until seeing those mocks. He has a ton of potential, so hopefully he comes back for another season.
