My uncle once coached his son at Southmoore. Said he was an arrogant prick like his dad.
Seriously, I think it was a stupid tweet. It really doesn't help our situation. It sounds almost as immature as to what Baker did. I am sure Bob hated it.

Maybe if Baker had not been drunk, running form the police, resisting arrest & etc, there Barry's tweet would not be on here.

For one, I am glad to see BM is maybe a little human. He's always seemed to be too good to be true.
He's young and did something stupid. I'm certainly glad I didn't do anything stupid before I reached age 25.
I don't really give a damn what any Horns, Pokes, Bears, Buckeyes, etc have to say, so this does not bother me much at all.
Let Bob run his *** off in practice or whatever he wants to do and let's move on.
He's not raping and pillaging, he's not committing armed robbery, he didn't commit murder.

EDIT to add: I'd have been disappointed if Switzer had not made his comments. Still funny as hell.

Well, he only got picked up on public intox, fleeing and resisting arrest. You can't definitively say he's not doing those other things. :D
WHAT bothers me the most, is letting down his teammates and fans. Little boys that look up to him. He is educated and almost 22. Find something productive to give back to those less unfortunates. Just really, really disappointing for all of us.

If anyone drinks to excess, often enough, then one of the really stupid things that really drunk people do, is likely to get you in trouble. My guess is that fewer Sooners football players don't get intoxicated from whatever, than who do.

Several factors in this. Not being around "home base" is part of it. Having a friend provide temporary wisdom, when you're too drunk to have any, is pretty valuable. I am more "interested" in how this impacts Baker's future behavior.

I still the the possibility that he got set up, is a real one. Anyhow, I am less worried about Baker, than I am his teammates or fans. He is going to see what the sunrise looks like for a while.

Did anything new become public yet ? Wasn't the hearing yesterday and certainly has been commented on by Coach Stoops, no ?

Funny that we're having this convo...I just told a friend that, this afternoon...That I laugh, do an eye roll, or shake my head at myself more every day...

Oh man, I didn't have to grow old for all of that. I had a nice 2 year stint in my late 20s where I spent most weekend mornings sitting on the floor of my shower groaning audibly to myself over what I could remember from the night before. Also scared to turn on my phone until well into the following evening, scared of what pics and texts I might see.

Compared to all the other bad jokes on this subject, how do you rate mine?
Arkiesaw might be as relevant as KSU or Iowa State in the $EC conference.

A better joke would have been Josh Heupel at Missouri learning that letting your QB scramble loose on a busted play isn't the best option.

Both Arkansas and Missouri would be better off in the Big 12, but are too hardheaded to admit it. Better off meaning "more competitive" with the opportunity to develop/renew natural rivals in short order. The Big 12 would benefit also. Win-win, IMO.

Texas A&M wouldn't be better off back in the Big 12. Not only would their recruiting take a huge drop off, they'd get pummeled by OU and o$u every year.
