I haven't been paying attention to BB as long as I have football. I guess I was intrigued by the PO when Carmody came on and started watching once and a while and paid more attention over time. Having said that I think these last two games are really significant. In the first game NU played really poorly yet won on the road in the B1G. In the second game NU played lights out and had the most dominant B1G performance I can remember.

Both wins are actually impressive in kind of opposite ways. When was the last time we stunk on the road in the B1G and won anyway? When was the last time we absolutely humiliated a B1G opponent?

Signs of changing times IMO.

Stunk and won? 2 years ago: NU 51, Rutgers 47 (Cats shot just 39% with 15 turnovers and just 8 assists)

Humiliated? Last February: NU 98, Rutgers 59 (although you could argue that Rutgers is really not a Big 10 team)

There's a big difference between humiliating Rutgers and doing it to Iowa.
