Never liked it. Then again, I don’t like much when it comes to Penn State.
Our colors are blue and white, I hate when silver/grey is mixed in. No bueno.
Looks too much like Pitts panther
It looks an awful lot like a PSU decal I got in 1966! But that was fifty-five years ago so my recollection may not be accurate. Any other old timers remember this? If I come across it, I will post a pic.
Never liked that "new" logo either. Give me this or give me nothing (and that includes PennState in the "worm" font):

Or the Carolina Panthers in particular. PSU does use it on their letterhead, signage, etc. but it’s not nearly as popular or recognizable as the chipmunk logo.
It was ok and I have a couple of items with this logo. My favorite logo is the Posniak lion, which is way better than the current chipmunk lion. Simple , understated and to the point.

IIRC it was because it was hard to reproduce in letter head when printed. I guess the lines tended to fill in.
I completely understand that but I pretty much hate the work around they came up with.

Never liked it. I'm a chipmunk guy. Thought about getting the chipmunk on my calf a few times. The wife always shoots me down.

The chipmunk logo is just too iconic
Even as a kid I hated the new design. Not because it was new but to me it just looled stupid on gear. Especially hats.
Was this logo ever used in circulation anywhere? I think the Lion Ambassadors or some other group uses(d) it, but was it ever put on merchandise, etc? Would love to have a white hat with that logo.No love for the Pozniak Lion?

I thought it was the main logo in the 1974 - 82 era but I may not be remembering well. I can't find any merch from that era that shows it. I know the Lion Ambassadors adopted it but I'm not sure how/when they display it (letterhead?).

Guido Delia actually brought back the oval , or athletic logo
