For the purposes of full disclosure, I don't have a dog in that fight. I like Carolina and the NYG equally. That said, I don't think the punishment for the helmet-to-helmet hit was severe enough. IMO it should have resulted in a 6 game suspension that would extend into next season and a $100,000 fine.

2nd year in, and he's already turning into the next WR Diva. Couldn't happen to a more pathetic fanbase, who instead of being pissed they lost to the Redskins a few weeks back, therefore losing the lead in their division, all they cared about was a "sick grab by OBJ!".

What I don't get is why they are going to try and appeal this. Giants aren't making the playoffs, why risk having the suspension moved into next year? Take the suspension, probably lose to Vikings, and maybe lose out.. and grab a better draft pick because of it..

I thought it would be one or two games, preferring the 2. Any suspension is a big deal to a player, but a bigger one to the team.

How did he not get ejected?

There's no other position in football that produces more douchebags than the wide out spot. How NFL coaches put up with them is beyond me.

He was completely out of control. His coach should have benched him. Loose cannon that must have some serious issues going on

This. Noone with the Giants had enough guts to check this guy while he was losing his mind and completely off his game.

Totally deserves the suspension. Oh but they called him offensive derogatory terms? So. Anyone whos ever played competitive sports has heard much worse; and they dont lose their mind.

I like how this whole bat incident is being used as some sort of justification..

"They intimated me an hour before the game.. so I had no other option then to head-hunt 3 hours later.. you know, my life was at risk"

One game plus an hour or two of this should suffice as punishment enough...

This is one of the many reasons I have grown tired of the NBA and NFL. The players run the show. The egos are out of control and the coaches let them do what they want.

Like I said before, I don't know how pro coaches can handle the millionaire egotistical man children.

He should have been tossed from the game and suspended one game IMO. I also think McCauley and his crew should be suspended for a game for not putting a stop to everything sooner. Those guys could have taken control a few minutes in but chose not too. I lost some respect for Coughlin for not trying to settle him down or taking him out for a series. Then Beckham does that dance when they are losing. He's an amazing talent, but he's a clown.

He should have been ejected before this for throwing punches. I lost a lot of retrospect for OBJ after watching his thuggish antics this past Sunday.

I'm opposite. I'm facing the guy who has OBJ in my league's championship. I love the suspension.

Wish he was just own up to it and take his punishment with out blaming the Panthers.

So what they called he names. That still gives him no right to do what he did. In the end, it really just shows how weak he is at handling adversity.

What a baby.. But but but.. They like taunted me with bats 4 hours before the incident!

Looks like the Bills were on to something when they accused him of punching players all game.

Enjoy, Giants fans!

Football is a violent game. Quit being such vaginas about it... Everyone one of you wished you had such a player on your team.
