Anyone watching The Outsider on HBO? Based on Stephan King novel. first two episodes have been pretty good.

Jason Bateman is accused of murder. They have him on film in the area. Witnesses put him with the victim and covered with blood. They even have his prints and dna at the scene. But he has witnesses, film and fingerprints that put him 70 miles away at the same time.

I haven’t read the book, so don’t know how this will turn out.

Been watching. Good so far. I to hate waiting a week before watching another episode myself. Speaking of Bateman and Netflix, season 3 of Ozark finally coming in March. Jonesing like hell for season 3.

To the one poster who said he wishes it was on Netflix , yes but in order for it to get there, it would mean HBO was finished with it, so you would have to wait several months to watch all the episodes. J/K, it sucks waiting.

True Detective feel with a more supernatural plot. Very good so far.

The one fear I have is that it takes a really good plot thus far and ruins it by getting to unrealistic and fake with the super natural ****. Please keep it believable and not be aliens and/or some other dumb stuff.

Well, I haven’t read the book but I’m betting there will be “super natural ****”. I don’t think that’s even in question.

I loved the book. I won't spoil it for anyone, but it is Stephen King so it does get pretty weird.

I have really enjoyed the show so far. I also worried that what has been a great show May be ruined with too much crazy unrealistic plot twists. But so far it’s been great.

Really makes me wanna go read the book. But, I think I will watch the series first.

This is a one season show right? Not gonna be a protracted second season waiting period for the ending?

I understand that. I just do not want it get into aliens, zombies, ghost, something along those lines. I understand it is a movie based on a novel by a twisted, very creative author. Just keep it on the suspense, thriller path. I know it is coming, i just do not want to lose interest suddenly.

It stays as a mystery thriller, and a really good one, throughout up until close to the end.

Whoever described it as True Detective but much more supernatural is spot on.

I've only watched the first episode, but it's good and true to the book so far.

Thanks, definitely encouraging, as true Detective is one of my favorites. I can handle a little bit of out thereness (not a word), but do not like when it gets way too far out there.

Again, it's King so it does get pretty far out there, however, he does a good job of being original about it.
