Anyone watching this series? It is based off the Cronin Trilogy of books called The Passage, The Twelve and The City of Mirrors. All great books. First 3 episodes seems good. Been a while since we had a good vampire series...

Books were amazing- particularly The Passage (1st book). Was hoping this would go to HBO were they could stay truer to the books and not rush thru. TV series doing pretty good so far though.

The logistics seem weird to me how a show is going to work since the books were based in a distant future/post apocalyptic world. Maybe they figure out how to make it work but it will be interesting nonetheless.

Yeah cause there's never been a TV series that was set in the future.

That isnt the point I was making. The point is the timeline and how it develops. The Passage 1st season is 10 episodes. Its moving rather slowly. So you no doubt are gonna need multiple seasons and FOX has a history of cutting good shows right when they get good. There is just a hell of a lot of ground to cover and in the first 4 episodes we are nowhere near the pace I would anticipate would be needed to pack all 3 books into a series, that is unless you aren't going to delve into all 3 books or even follow them... in which why call it "The Passage"?

I mean I thoroughly enjoyed the series "The Exorcist" on Fox and it got the axe after season 2. In some ways I hope it fails on Fox so Netflix can get rights to it for a movie or series. If you had the right people on board it could be a HELL of a show.

We? So you're involved with the production? Well hell, then why TF don't you tell your co-workers to speed things up?

Talk about a miserable life, you're a (supposedly) grown man who likes vampires.

How is that miserable? I'm a fan of a good story. The Passage, The Twelve, and The City of Mirrors are all best sellers. I like to read and I like seeing film adaptations of great stories. If that is miserable than so be it. If reading at all is viewed as miserable to you then that begins to explain a whole hell of a lot.

Now you’re defending liking vampires. Sad.

Had never heard of the books but gave it a try and I really like it so far. Wasn’t sure I’d like it since the main character is a little girl but she’s been really good.

As far as good ’’vamp” shows go there was one that just ended last year that was pretty good IMO, The Strain.

Did Wesley snipes hop out and put one through the heart? If not then it’s not a good “vamp” show

It's a really interesting story how Cronin even came up with the idea for the books. Apparently his daughter said she wanted him to write a book where a little girl was basically the savior of the world and they basically wrote it together.

I’m the type that doesn’t get scared by horror movies, books, but I actually had a couple of nightmares reading the Passage when it first came out

Still haven’t read the third book. Need to try and do that soon.
