The pink seats finally getting refurbished?

The UofL Athletic's Board has approved funding. 38,000 lower bowl seats to get a makeover. Will hopefully be completed before the season. I like it. Long overdue.

It's not a seat replacement. Merely a refurbishing. The plan appears to be to get another ten years out of the refurbished seats, then replacement will likely be required.

they missed a money making opportunity. switch out the seats but while doing so upgrade the type of seat to be individual and allow season ticket holders to customize their seats. give them color choices of red, black and white and i'm sure many other customizations could be had for more money. arm rest, cupholders, underseat storage, usb port, headphone or bluetooth pairing to hear radio broadcast. maybe even eliminate a seat or two in the aisle and allow wider seats. let jealousy among boosters feed the athletic budget. my seat is better than yours. that's the future
