The renovated #12 is going to be very interesting to watch. Driveable Par 4 now with a ton of trouble around it.

Strangely, TPC has never been a tourney I care a great deal about. Always found Sawgrass, with a few exceptions, kind of boring. Great field but it's just never been one I get excited about.

Love Sawgrass because it takes precision to play it well. Guys just can't get on there and just bomb drives and score. Its punishing if you are not hitting your target. Makes you really think and with some of the renovations will be even more risk and reward. Just like courses that push the best in the world and not let up. Playing it myself, it was beyond hard but loved every second of it. Never seen more water trouble on a course in my life.

Hope Day is back to health. I still think his best is better than anyone else on tour's best, but injuries and sickness have really put a damper on his momentum.

Yep..maybe 2 or 3 memorable holes, and outside of 17, you don't take a lot of memories with you when you play it.

I had a VIP pass for the whole thing, but I gave it away so that I could watch it a bar with strangers.

And I wish everyone would go back to calling it the Players Championship because that is exactly what it is..Shortening it to the Players is dumb and sounds even dumber when the announcers say it and dont add the word championship to their sentence..So how about that for a morning gripe. lol

Holmes tied for lead. Really would love for him to win.

Is the 17th overrated, underrated, or properly rated?

Properly rated. That green looks like a ****ing dinner plate from the tee.

When I was a lot younger I thought it was the coolest hole in golf. Now that I've traveled and played tons of courses across the country, that hole is like "meh" to me.

That said I'd probably put 3 in the water. lol

I've played it twice and rinsed 3 balls total. 1 once and 2 once. From the tee it looks like there is almost nowhere to land it safely.

Agreed about your other point though. So many great courses out there.

Hearing Players will be moving back to March next year. The reason they moved it to May in the first place because it was so wet in that area in March. PGA Tournament could possibly move to May now.

That's awesome you got to play it. I will one day hopefully. On my course bucket list.

Trying to end the playoffs before football season.

That's one part of it, the other is that the PGA Championship has the fewest viewers of any of the Majors and he thinks he can change that by moving the date.

JB just didn't seem to care over the last few holes. Cost himself a few hundred grand.
